A Baby Shower – Celebrating a new life creatively

Baby shower - a party that celebrates all the wonderful things about bringing a new life into the world.
It's a festive occasion that brings together friends and family, fresh ideas, and visual treat to help everyone mark this life-changing event.

Favors

Baby shower party favors are one of those nice touches to finish off a successful baby shower.

I like to decorate with them. For instance, they can help decorate the tables. One can also use the party favors to help add some color by placing them around the room.

Wedding Flowers and Favors

Giving wedding favors is an age-old tradition that has evolved over the years. I always believed that favors should be unique and meaningful to the bride and her family. Favors should complement the theme of the wedding and they can also be tasteful additions to the table. These particular favors were created for a fall wedding. The reception took place at an elegant hotel.

I took each lacquered jewel box and  added a tassel for elegance.  A tulle bag filled with sugar covered almonds called confetti and tied with a gold string was placed inside each box together with a tag indicating the couple names and wedding date.  Each box was wrapped in tulle and tied with jewels.  The jewel tones of the boxes reflected the lights of the chandeliers and complimented the bold fall colors of the flowers.

A favor was placed at each place setting.

Simply spectacular!

Kitchen Towels Should Be Pretty and Absorbent

Tea towels look pretty hanging in the kitchen but do not absorb water. When one cooks a great deal, it is very important to have absorbent dish towels. For absorbency, look for dish towels consisting of a waffle or basket weave.

Kitchen Towels Make a Great Gift

Dish towels make lovely shower gifts, housewarming gifts or hostess gifts. They jazz up the kitchen as well as being a gift most people can use. For a naturally impressive presentation, they are enclosed in an eco-friendly sinamay gift bag or box.  It sure makes a fabulous green gift!

DANCING RECITAL GIFTS

Attending a recital? Wondering what to give your favorite performer to commemorate a job well done?

Here are a few suggestions:

•  A dancer’s needed supplies is usually appreciated.

• Gift certificates to dancewear shops if unsure about colors, sizes and styles.

• Tickets to a dance show where she can just enjoy herself being in the audience.

• A charm bracelet is ideal for the avid dancer adding a charm for each recital

Wine Home Decor

Due to the increasing popularity of wine appreciation, homeowners are adding wine theme décor to their kitchens. As with any other particular theme decor, if not properly done, it can make the kitchen look garish.

Natural rustic materials such as stone and Tuscan paint colors like oatmeal, terra cotta, warm yellow compliment a wine theme kitchen décor.

When choosing wine theme kitchen accessories, keep it simple – few ceramics, a decorative bottle and some kitchen towels. You want your kitchen to look classy and chic and not over the top. If done well, the kitchen should resemble a rural country home rather than a wine store.

The Importance of a Gift Bag

First impressions are very important as they can attract, excite or disappoint recipients instantly. The packaging is important as it presents the good will, value, and emotions of the giver. Therefore, a high quality gift bag is just as important as the gift inside.
